A Little Too Generalized Fox

This Wednesday morning, Fox News published an article about the DNC's search for a diverse staff to fill some of their open tech positions.

While I agree that singling out "cisgender white males" as one's who should not apply is wrong. I do believe that Fox has taken a way too aggressive tone with such a sensitive topic.

By the title, "DNC: White men shouldn't apply for tech jobs," Fox is trying to gauge an aggravated response from their white male readers. They're trying to lump every single recruiter along with this one manager, Madeleine Leader, as if no tech jobs are for white men - further stirring racial tensions. But it's simply not true. It's wrong to make a headline that tries to generalize a single situation just to further feed their emotional viewers. And by doing so, Fox is pushing their own agenda.

While this email showing a hiring bias is newsworthy, the subject should be taken with a much more objective and sensitive approach - considering it's already a very hot button issue. This is another example of a news outlet pushing their agenda.
